What is the easiest way to make a list of the files contained in a folder?

I often have a need to make a list of files in a folder. Is there a simple way to do this using a windows GUI program? I find lots of advice about how to use the cmd.exe terminal for this purpose. What windows GUI program can do this?

I’ve used the cmd.exe methods, but they are neither quick nor convenient.
