I have an example : A 500 MW generator is 35% efficient and the question continues. My profossor in the answer calculated as : %35 efficeny required fuel input per hour is : 500MW/0.35 .But ı dont understand why divided by 0.35 can we multiply by 0.35 ?

Well if you want 500 MW .. you will need more MW as an input because else you will not reach 500 MW.

so in this case you would need 1428 MW to delivered 500 MW.
